Due to the high interest the T-Ride has generated, the decision has been made to import the unique Scorpa into the United States.  Yay!  That's the good news.  The bad news is that the list price is projected to be in the $9500 range.  You can thank the high Euro-Dollar exchange rate and high petroleum costs for that.  We hope that, once interested parties get over the initial shock of price, the functionality of the bike will speak for itself.  Nobody else makes such a unique machine.  It's a hybrid trail bike with characteristics of a trials bike mated with the long-rideability of and enduro machine.  No, you're not going to go out and win the expert class at your local trials competition on this craft, nor will you be terribly comfortable jumping 50' tabletops on it.  What you will do on it, however, is have the time of your life playing in the woods, on the rocks, in the mountains, or in the desert.  Yep, the T-Ride will be the ultimate play bike.  Isn't that what off-roading is all about?

The heart of the machine is the Yamaha 250F engine.  Most everyone knows the good reputation of the Yamaha four-stroke power plant, so there's no surprises there.  One very cool feature, in our opinion anyway,  is the electric start (that means it has a battery!).  There's still a kickstarter on the bike, so you masochists can rest easy.  While the Yamaha engine probably means you'll be able to purchase engine parts at your local Yammie dealer, the rest of the bike is all Scorpa and it's likely your Yamaha dealer will give you that deer-in-the-headlights look if you go there asking for chassis parts.  It's still a Scorpa, mate!

So, if you're looking for a mild-mannered fun-bike that has a low seat height, is easy to ride, and has a little more functionality than a true trials bike, this could very well be your huckleberry.  There's nothing quite like it anywhere else.  The things you can do and the places you can go will amaze you!  However, there is a limited number of bikes that can be shipped per container so if you have a genuine interest in getting your hands on one of these beauts, drop us a line and we'll put in a pre-order request.

If you're more interested in a no frills fully capable competition-level trials machine with a seat and the ability to carry 2 gallons of fuel, take a look at the Long Range option for the Beta Rev-3!
